What is the Lilac Festival?

Whether you’re a regular visitor or first-time Festival-goer, you’ll quickly discover that every day brings something new to experience at the world-famous Rochester Lilac Festival.

The Sights

The big draw, especially for out-of-town guests, is the natural wonder of the park with its lilacs, pansies, and azaleas.

Then there’s Art in the Park, a juried show that features the original work of 120 artists from around the country, with jewelry, clothing, ceramics, paintings, soaps, woodwork and much, much more.

The Sounds

Two concert stages feature more than 135 performances, including headline entertainment showcasing top artists in rock, reggae, dance music, R&B and lots more. This year’s lineup includes Jonny Lang, Turkuaz, and frequent headliner Rusted Root.

The Flavors

It wouldn’t be a festival without food! Dining options at the Lilac fest include local favorites like Nick Tahou’s Garbage Plate and Abbott’s Frozen Custard, along with an array of International delicacies and all your festival favorites.

The three-day Craft Beverage Expo includes multiple sessions highlighting local and regional wine, cider, and spirits or beer, cider and spirits. Designated drivers can attend with their friends for $10.
