One of the many cultural joys of Rochester is our beloved Memorial Art Gallery. Located on University Ave, only 2 miles from Elmwood Manor, the MAG consistently has interesting, challenging, and unique exhibitions worth checking out. We’ve highlighted a few this spring and summer already, but we wanted to bring this to your attention, too!

This year, the MAG brings back the Rochester-Finger Lakes Exhibition, which is only held every two years. This year is the 65th, so do the math on that. The exhibit brings together the best of 27 surrounding counties, displaying work from established artists as well as up-and-comers, including 23 brand new faces. There are 46 artists represented this year, and 68 total pieces. As always, the art comprises a wide array of mediums, and there will be something to appeal to everyone. The show runs from July 26th through September 13th, and is hand-picked and juried, so this is not an exhibit to miss. You can get more information from the MAG’s webpage for the exhibition.
