March 2018

No Shortage of Sports

If you’re a sports fan living in Rochester, you know that our city abounds with intercollegiate and professional sports spectating opportunities. It’s one of the area’s best-kept secrets. While Rochester’s slew of pro sports teams can keep an enthusiast busy all year round, the calendar is also peppered with an array of regional and national tournaments hosted by our local arenas, fields, courts, rinks, and golf courses. The Atlantic Hockey Tournament in March is just one of many such exciting events taking place right here in Rochester in 2018.

Another Frozen Four

The Atlantic Hockey Tournament will return to Rochester’s Blue Cross Arena for the twelfth consecutive year, with NCAA men’s hockey action on March 16th and 17th. Four teams will earn their way to the tournament to play two semifinal games on Friday, March 16th. The winner of Saturday’s championship game earns the conference’s automatic bid to the 2018 NCAA Men’s Hockey Tournament. This year, the new Jack Riley Memorial Trophy will be awarded to the tournament champion. Tickets (good for both games on Friday) are $16 for adults, $12 for students with valid ID, and $6.75 for children 12 and under.
