Area Activity Guide: Flower City Looking Good Bike Tours
June 2015
It seems that everyone finds reasons to get outside in the summer, and with good reason! After the winter we’ve had (and the rainy spring that’s followed), people do anything they can to experience the nice weather. The city recognizes this and tries to capitalize on it by partnering with local businesses to sponsor the Flower City Looking Good program, a series of events designed to get people moving and healthy. Today, we thought we’d highlight some of the program’s events that should be a lot of fun, and also a great way to explore Rochester and get healthy!
The Flower City Looking Good Bike Tours began on June 2nd, and continue every Tuesday night (starting promptly at 6PM) through August 25th. They are guided tours through various parts of our great city, and have a wide range of lengths and difficulties. Upcoming tours will include Durand Eastman Park and Seabreeze, University Ave. Neighborhood of the Arts, and the Corn Hill Neighborhood, among many others. The start point changes each week, and several of them are very close to Elmwood Manor! Please check out the city’s webpage for full details. Oh, and make sure you bring a helmet – safety is important. Hop on your bike and explore the city!
