Area Activity Guide: Free Movie Nights!
July 2015
Who doesn’t like movies? And who doesn’t like being outside on beautiful summer nights? The problem is finding a way to combine the two, since usually you have to sit inside to watch a movie. But Rochester has a solution for this conundrum! We’re excited to let you know about Monroe County’s program that will be showing movies outside this summer!
Movies in the Park is doing a series of Anniversary showings this July, and each movie is unique and wonderful in its own way. The films will be shown at the Highland Park Bowl (only a mile from Elmwood Manor Apartments!) on Thursdays and will be Madagascar (7/16, for its 10th anniversary), Pee Wee’s Great Adventure (7/23, its 30th anniversary), and The Sound of Music (7/30, for it’s 50th anniversary). Each movie is free and begins at 7PM with concerts. You can see full information for it at the Movies in the Parks webpage. So, find your way to Highland Park, bring a lawnchair or two, some popcorn, and enjoy great movies in a beautiful outdoor setting – the best of both worlds!
