A Celebration of Women in Film

Given the wealth of annual film festivals in Rochester, it’s only fitting that there be one devoted to celebrating women in film. As a matter of fact, it’s one of just a few festivals worldwide focused on the work of female filmmakers, and one of the longest-running on the East Coast. That in itself seems like something to celebrate!

The 2016 High Falls Film Festival runs November 10th through 14th at the Little Theatre. In addition to more than 25 screenings, the event includes discussions, panels, workshops, and Q&A sessions with filmmakers and celebrity guests.

As is true at most local festivals, there’s a high-value, limited-availability, all-access-pass option for just $125. A $90 pass will get you all the films you can watch in 5 days. For those hoping to snag karma points or a free film voucher, volunteer opportunities are available in 4-hour stints.
