Area Activity Guide: Mess-tival 2018
March 2018
Know a kid who loves to get slimy, silly, and gross?
There’s not much that kids like more than getting their hands dirty, so Rochester Museum & Science Center gives them tons of opportunities to do so — away from your carpets, walls, cars, and pets. RMSC’s week-long annual Mess-tival event, being held Friday, March 30 through Sunday, April 8, gives kids new ways to interact constructively with icky and sticky substances each day. These messes are made in the name of science, with experts on hand to guide experiments and explain the madness behind the mess. In addition to the hands-on activities, there’s a schedule of exciting shows spanning the whole day.
What better way to spend Spring break?
When the little ones have had all the Unicorn Poop and Gooey Oobleck they can handle, there’s still plenty of fun to be had. Mess-tival activities are included in museum admission, so visitors also gain access to all the museum’s exciting current exhibits. Spend the rest of the day exploring local history, the science of energy, forces of nature, and thrilling simulator rides. If you’d like, you can purchase your museum admission online in advance. Tickets purchased online are valid for 60 days from the date selected and are non-refundable. Tickets include Museum general admission and access to Mess-tival, but tickets to Planetarium shows must be purchased separately.
