Area Activity Guide: Midtown EATS
July 2017
Rochester’s Hottest Lunch (and Dinner)
You’ve seen the Food Truck Rodeos. Now get ready for a restaurant rodeo. Midtown EATS is a “pop-up restaurant showcase” that’s bringing new life to Rochester’s downtown dining scene. The first Thursday of each month, this recurring series brings together a diverse array of restaurants and chefs in historic Midtown. It’s a smorgasbord for your sampling pleasure, with lunch hours from 11 am to 2 pm and Happy Hour/dinner service from 4 to 9 pm.
You can expect to see a rotating cast of cuisines featuring The Cub Room, Sticky Lips, Branca, Abbott’s, Victoire, Marty’s Meats, and many more. Menus include local staples, as well as new offerings from both new and proven dining spots. The theme of “push your palate” is perfect for this event created to draw you out of your comfort zone and into an underappreciated part of the city.
