June 2015

Last week, we told you all about Jazz Fest (which begins today!), but that’s certainly not the only music happening in Rochester these days! Rochester’s very own Party In The Park started yesterday, and will be running all the way through August 13th, every Thursday. Once again, this year the venue will me Martin Luther King Jr. Park on Court Street. In case that sounds familiar, it’s probably because it’s only 2 miles from Elmwood Manor! Not too shabby! There will also be a second stage at the Genesee Brewery, so feel free to head over there, too.

A $5 entry fee will get to access to music, food, drinks, and a great way to spend a Thursday night. Musical acts this year include moe., Victor Wooten, Jonny Lang, George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, as well as loads of local bands, such as perennial favorites Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad. Food trucks will be on hand to provide delicious, interesting grub and Genesee and Labatts will have beer for purchase. For more details, please head over to the city’s Party in the Park page and the initial press release for 2015. Get out and party in the park a little!
