Area Activity Guide: Puerto Rican Festival
August 2015
Another week, another great festival here in Rochester! This time, we’re going to be highlighting the upcoming Puerto Rican Festival, which is the longest-running cultural festival in Monroe County. The festival celebrates its 46th anniversary on August 21st-23rd at Frontier Field. In case you were wondering, that’s only 3 short miles from Elmwood Manor – another great perk of living here!
The Puerto Rican festival is a celebration of the many exciting facets of Puerto Rican culture, and will features all kinds of musical performances, celebrities, games, adult and children’s activities, a 5K Race and Walk, and – of course – incredible food. The fest’s events include a boxing tournament, beauty pageant, and domino tournament. Another nice feature of the festival is that on Friday and Saturday, admission is from from 12PM – 2PM. And after that, it’s still only $10 for an adult and $5 for children. We’re very lucky to have this kind of ethnic festival here in Rochester, and we hope you’ll come out and explore all it has to offer. Full information can be found on the Puerto Rican Festival’s website.
