Area Activity Guide: ROC City Rib Fest
May 2019
Start gearing up for summer!
What could be better for a long weekend in May than chowing down outdoors? This Memorial Day weekend, Rochester’s premier BBQ and music festival returns to the Barnard Fireman’s Field in Greece for its 12th anniversary. 96.5 WCMF’s Roc City Rib Fest features all your rib and BBQ favorites from Rochester and across the country. The three-day event includes live music, a retail and craft vendor area, and an Adventures in Climbing kids zone.
Fun For All Ages
In the brand-new BBQ Marketplace, you will find the all-new craft and retail vendor area. This shopping extravaganza is just the place to find unique craft and artisan items or that perfect specialty spice blend to set your home BBQ apart. Also new this year is the Craft Beer Sampling Tent. Your $20 tent-entrance fee gets you 12 Tasting Tickets. The Rib Fest Kids Zone, offered by Adventures in Climbing, is an area dedicated to engaging your youth. The area features bounce houses, obstacle courses, slides and more! The Rib Fest also offers live music starting each day at noon. Bring a blanket or lawn chair to enjoy the concerts, which are free with event admission. Performers include local favorites as well as a nationally acclaimed Tom Petty Tribute Band!
