Area Activity Guide: Rolling Thunder Festival
August 2015
OK, we all love food trucks, right? I mean, how could you possibly not? Food just tastes better when it’s housed in a vehicle. Well, we’ve told you all about the Food Truck Rodeos at the Public Market, and now we’re upping the game a bit. May we introduce the inaugural Rolling Thunder Festival? We thought you’d be up for hearing about it. So, here we go!
On August 22nd, starting at 11:30 AM and running until 6PM, 19 Food Trucks (and several more stationary vendors, as well) will be rolling into beautiful Ellison Park (a mere 5 miles from Elmwood Manor) with their varied wares, all eager to stuff you full of mobile goodness! Not only that, but there will be plenty of craft beer and wine for purchase, as well as non-alcoholic beverages. And what goes better with great food and drink than music? Not much. So, there will be live music, as well, from Tommy Brunett, Dan Eaton Band, Teresa Wilcox, and Kaylin Cervini. On top of all that, there will be all kinds of fun activities for kids, too. So, head over to the Rolling Thunder Festival website, check out all the details, and make sure to show up at Ellison Park on the 22nd, rain or shine!
