With the myriad of festivals in our wonderful city, sometimes it’s tough to keep track of all of them. That’s why we’re here! What better way to spend a summer weekend than outside, with friends and family, enjoying the vast array of entertainment that pops up in these summer months? Today, we’re giving you the heads-up about the 2015 Rochester Summerfest.

The annual music festival is moving outside this year, and will be held at Sahlen’s Stadium on July 10th and 11th. In case you’re wondering, that’s only about 3.5 miles from Elmwood Manor Apartments, so it’s right near by! Each day of the festival will have its own theme. For instance, Friday’s edition is entitled Blues and BBQ. On that day, you’ll be able to see national acts Clarence Carter, Pokey Bear, and Lenny Williams along with local legends Jimmy Highsmith, Chris Beard, and Joe Beard. Then, come back on Saturday for Old School Hip Hop with Today’s R&B. Saturday’s event will be huge, with performances from Salt N Pepa, Doug E. Fresh, and Rakim, along with scores of other artists. Not only that, but there will be tons of food and drink options to be had, as well as plenty of family-friendly events, too, like face painting, kid’s performers, and bounce houses!
