But when you rename the team after Rochester’s world-famous garbage plate, it’s pandemonium! August 10th’s Rochester Plates game celebrating the 100th anniversary of Nick Tahou Hots’ Garbage Plate drew the third-largest regular-season baseball crowd in 20 years at Frontier Field. And Plates merch was selling like hotcakes.
