Frontier, our internet provider, has been making some software upgrades recently that have caused glitches for some of our residents. We completely understand that you need reliable Wi-Fi, especially in your home, and we’re doing everything we can to fix the problem.

The problems are remote.

With some wi-fi issues, hardware or the physical connection is to blame. For the recent interruptions, that’s not the case. The wi-fi problems have been caused by software updates at Frontier, and the glitches can only be resolved on their end. Please don’t adjust the routers or ethernet cables in your unit or in common areas. This will cause service to be disconnected for the entire building.

Unfortunately, Elmwood Manor’s maintenance team is not able to solve these problems directly. Disruptions should be minimal going forward, but if you do require service for your Wi-Fi, take the following steps.

  1. Call Frontier at 800-469-6519.
  2. Don’t select any options.
  3. Hold for a technician.
