Can you believe 2016 is the first year that Yelp has ever published a Top 100 Restaurants list for Rochester? It doesn’t take newcomers long to notice that our local food scene is underrated. You can’t throw a stone without running into a Food Truck Rodeo, Farmer’s Market, or Brewery. But given that we’re a smaller city, it kind of makes sense that we’ve been overlooked until this point.

Good Food — Right Under Your Nose

If you’ve been heading to Syracuse, Buffalo, or the Finger Lakes to enjoy great meals, you might think about diversifying your destinations this year. Yelp’s list provides a smorgasbord of close-to-home establishments where you can’t go wrong. The most surprising aspect is how Rochester’s restaurants manage to balance quality with quantity. Not only can you get a great meal — you can try a fresh cuisine each time you go out!
